I like the illustration of knots in this
book - simply drawn in yellow and extremely clear. The best test of a book
like this is to tie the knot illustrated and I had no difficulty with the knots
every sailor uses, or in understanding the techniques for whipping and seizings.
The selection is suitable for dinghy sailors or cruising people. Turks
Head and Lanyard knots are included for those who want something more
challenging and, unusually, there is a small final section on net making. (Useful
for in-filling between deck stanchions, especially if there are children
aboard.) A nice clear book on the subject.
