TradBoat Book Reviews
A World of My Own
Robin Knox Johnson was one of only 9 competitors to take part in the Sunday Times Golden Globe Race in 1968 when he set sail in his ketch Suhaili. After 312 days alone at sea he was the only one to finish and won the trophy for the first solo non-stop circumnavigation. He went on to a long career in ocean racing and many awards including a knighthood - but this is the story of that first epic adventure, an inspiration to every small boat sailor.. Today RKJ still owns and sails Suhaili.
